The big “rausch” exhibitions mounted since 2009 are ambitious art outreach programs. “We have created this format with the aim of inspiring a greater appreciation for art in broad sections of the public,” says Dr. Josef Pühringer, Minister-President of Upper Austria and Cultural Advisor. Unusual exhibition locations and artworks that strongly appeal to the senses are ideal for this purpose.

the exhibition concept of ORBIS PICTUS PLAY culminates in the pivotal work The Heart in the Ursulinensaal. The instruments and objects here are all “analog” and function without any electronics, computer technology, recorded music or film clips. They have therefore somehow “fallen out of time and are for that very reason all the more present,” says Director Martin Sturm. Human energy is the only force that can breathe life into them, setting them in motion and making them produce sounds.

HTML GOETZ – welch schoenes alias fuer literarische publikationen!

cutting red onions to prepare some Italian sugo for lunch today noon & destroying the concentric circles of the bulbs with my knife I recognized the necessarity to do some adds into the dark picture I had scetched  in acrylic colours some days before –  imaginating a terrific scene in the Gulf of Mexico

the onions jumped virtually (& visually) into the water:

done that I put my knife – my beloved leatherman-super-tool – into my pocket & drove out to the next village: Mr. Leatherman himself signed men´s tools ( pardon, I did not catch sight of a woman but the saleswomen ) there on the occasion of the opening of a new Leatherman-store in Hof / Leithagebirge, Lower Austria. Mr. Tim Leatherman opened my tool & noticed after a short glimpse through his spectacles: ” It was born in August 1995″.  – “Oh, a lion, best bite”, I thought.

Mr. Timothy S. Leatherman signating one of “his” tools – oh no!,  – it´s “mine”!

why the hell I had the feeling I have ever missed a meeting with  Mr. Timothy F. Leary ?

spending last two weeks vacation in Faros on Icaria – one of the Greek islands in Northern Aegean Sea – I was asked by Niki Kastanis who runs the tavern bar fos fanari on the longest beach of the island to finish with mason Costa two of prepared brick-layed plant pots next the side step of the bar´s terrace. – I already had collected with my son a lot of pattered stones out of the sea-shore, first interested in the patterns itself, then more inspired stone by stone to imagine shields and limbs of turtles. Every day swimming the beach along I imagined to meet one real living careta careta – a  loggerhead seaturtle –  once, several years ago, I was lucky to meet one careta near the Greek island Zakynthos  and did synchron movements in the sea with the turtle – an experience outa space! – I did not meet one in the water this time. But SHE came out of the water & tried three times to dig a pit for her eggs next the house I slept – unfortunately the stony ground under the sand or my & others precence I called – stopped her attempts. she crawled back over the gravel  into the sea. The astonished natives told me they had never sawn a turtle on their beach.  –  “You brought the spirit of the turtle to the beach”, Niki said exited & pleased.
