YOUng ART at primary school Achau this week again. in my library I have found an old catalogue from 1988 showing watercolours by Austrian paintress Maria Lassnig. actually an exhibition at the MUMOK Vienna is running for celebrating her 90th birthday . I picked out the work “Was fällt mir beim Wort Hund ein? / what comes to my mind with the word dog?” from 1980, handed watersoluble colours (AquaBrique) & pencils among the pupils & asked them Lassnig´s question:

artist Wilfried Ploderer worked with another group & had prepared squared sheets to introduce the kids to American artist Chuck Close´s pattered work

headmaster Karin Gruber shows a smile in red  😉
