Der Haifisch

Der  Haifisch ist  eine  schoene   BLUmE.

Er blüht im Meer. Aber eine abscheuliche Meu-

chelbestie ist  er auch,  weil  er  uns  Menschen   im

Wasser frisst. Man darf ihn nicht pflücken, denn er

steht  unter  Schutz.  Außerdem verwelkt er bald,

selbst  wenn  die  Vase ein  schoenes  Anker

Muster hat.  Ich weiß das.                                       *

translation:

The Shark

the  shark  is  a  beautiful  flower.  it

blooms  at sea.  but a  dreadful  ass-

assinate  beast  is  it  too,    because

it devours us humans  in waters. you

are not  allowed   to pick  it, because

it stays  under protection.  besides it

will fade soon, even when the vase is

ornamented with a beautiful anchor-

pattern.  I know that.

And he wears them in his face
And Macheath, he has a knife
But the knife one doesn’t see
